About

Kallyn is an abstract artist and photographer based in Squamish, BC, working primarily with acrylic paint, oil sticks, pencil, coloured pencil, and marker on raw canvas. Her work is deeply rooted in feeling- guided by emotion, intuition, and her surroundings. Drawing inspiration from nature and the small, often overlooked moments in daily life, colour plays a central role in how she expresses and explores ideas.

Kallyn approaches each piece without a set plan, allowing spontaneity and chance to lead the way. Sometimes this results in failure, but she embraces those moments as essential to her growth as an artist- learning what resonates and what doesn't through the process itself. Her work is ever-evolving, reflecting a practice that resists being pinned to one specific style or method.

Currently balancing life as a mother to a one-year-old daughter, Kallyn is focused on nurturing her creative outlet and staying connected to her artistic voice through the ebb and flow of motherhood.
