A little about me:

I've always thought it remarkable that of my father and his 3 siblings, they all dabbled in a different genre of the arts. My aunts were into painting and pottery, my uncle is a musician, and my father was a photographer. I look back on my childhood and think of all the times I was asked to pose in front of a sand dune on our family vacation or with my soccer ball for my dad's own yearly documentation. My eyes rolled each time I was told he needed just one more shot.

The Christmas before he died, he gifted both my sister and I a handmade photo book with copies of all the pictures he'd been keeping over the years. My step-mom told me he had spent hours amongst the photos on the floor, organizing and composing each page until they were just right. This book has now become my most prized possession, and it's that one item I know I would take with me in a fire. (Do you guys have those mental lists too?! Just me?)

I realize that photography was one of his love languages. His desire to capture those moments, no matter how small or insignificant they were at that time, have lead to years ongoing memories in a time where he is no longer physically here. How lucky am I.

I bought a Canon DSLR camera in 2017 but never used it beyond Auto mode. Then in 2023, when I was 6 months pregnant with my own child, I took an online course from a local photographer and mother entitled Memoirs of Motherhood, and my creativity was found. Being able to capture core memories from my bump to those blurry newborn days was something I knew I wanted to be able to do. What a gift I will be able to hand my daughter when I make her her own book someday.

What I can do for you:

Maternity, newborn, family, and motherhood photography, focus on capturing the essence of familial bonds and the transformative journey of parenthood. These photography sessions serve not only as a means of documentation but also as a way to preserve emotions and milestones that define significant life events. 

Whether it's an intimate indoor session, showing the messiness of that first year, or an outdoor spot where you and your family can play, I promise you won't regret capturing this period in your life on film. 

Each session consists of 1 to 1.5 hours for the shoot in one location. After your shoot you will receive 20-25 edited, digital photos that are downloadable from a secure website. The cost for this is $250 + GST.
